Stuffed Capsicums

  • 4 Capsicum (Green Peppers), large, cleaned and hollow
  • 4 Potatoes, medium
  • 1/4 cup Green peas
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds (badisop)
  • Lemon to taste
  • Sugar to taste
  • Salt to taste
Spice paste:
  • 4 Green chilies
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 Ginger, minced
  • Handful Corriander leaves
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder


  • Grind the spices to a fine paste
  • Boil potatoes and green peas with salt and set aside
  • Mash potatoes and green peas lightly, and mix this with spice paste, salt, sugar and lemon
  • Stuff the above mixture into the capsicum
  • In a pan, add oil. Add fenugreek seeds (badisop) and cumin seeds, stir fry for few seconds, do not let them burn
  • Add the capsicums. Close the lid and cook on low flame till done
  • When done, garnish with corriander leaves
