Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef, cut into 2
  • 1 tbsp Oil or pork fat
  • 1 cup Tamarind juice
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 dry Red chilies
  • 2 Green chilies, chopped
  • 2 Onion, baby, peeled
Marinade:
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp Black peppercorn powder
  • 1/4 tsp clove powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon powder
  • 3/4 tsp Red chilli powder

Preparation

  • Marinate the beef with marinade, and keep aside in a cool place for an hour
  • Heat fat in a pan, place the meat slices and saute for 30 seconds to a minute
  • Pour the tamarind juice. add the remaining ingredients and cover the pan
  • Cook till meat is tender
