Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef, cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 2 Onion, medium, chopped
  • 2 Green chilies, chopped
  • 2 Tomatoes, medium, chopped
  • 1 cup Beef stock
  • 1 cup Tamarind juice
Marinade:
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp Black peppercorn powder
  • 1/4 tsp clove powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon powder
  • 3/4 tsp Red chilli powder

Preparation

  • Marinate the beef with marinade, and keep aside in a cool place for an hour
  • Heat the oil, stir-fry onion and green chilies
  • Mix tomato and fry for few minutes, till the mixture is pulpy
  • Add beef mixture and continue frying for 5 minutes
  • Add tamarind juice, beef stock and a cup of water
  • Add salt to taste and cover the pan and cook till meat is tender
